Shlomo Mintz has worked extensively with the English Chamber Orchestra, most recently recording a series of Mozart Violin Concertos in June 2004. January and February 2005 sees this collaboration continuing with a European concert tour, which includes Cologne, Munich, Paris, Vienna and his appearance in London.
He made his concert debut, aged eleven, with the Israel Philharmonic and his Carnegie Hall debut at sixteen, with the Pittsburgh Symphony. He subsequently began his studies at the Julliard School, embarking on his conducting career at eighteen. Shlomo has appeared with the world’s most acclaimed orchestras.
The English Chamber Orchestra, since Benjamin Britten became their first patron, has enjoyed a 44 year history of worldwide concert tours and recordings. The orchestra has performed, and has been acclaimed, in more countries than any other orchestra, continuing to attract musicians of the highest calibre and the most celebrated of guest soloists.
